BIOGRAPHY
An adult film actress adored in the 1990s, the Dutch Esther Kooiman (or Esther Spincer), aka Zara Whites , has appeared in no less than 27 films, X and erotic films included (the Joy series in particular). She stopped making porn films in 1992, at the height of her career, and stopped filming altogether in 2001. From the 1990s, she largely reconverted herself into a fervent environmental activist. But then, a real one.
Militant vegetarian, anti-bullfighting, anti-hunting and anti-testing on animals for cosmetic products of course, treats herself with barley grass juice, only eats organic… She regularly participates in the punch campaign of the PETA association since 2006, and carefully maintains its blog, the eco-friendly Zara blog . From May to December 2011, she was even secretary of the Independent Environmental Alliance. Aged 46 and divorced, she currently lives in the Paris region, with her two sons, born in 2000 and 2004.
In 2007, in her portrait painted by the newspaper Libération , she looked back on her years in the world of X-rated films, which she completely accepts: ” I was paid to live out my fantasies. I had the libido of a 20-year-old woman, I toured with whoever I wanted, I imposed my limits. I had the time of my life. ” . While blurting out: “ It’s been fifteen years since I stopped. Too bad no one is interested in talking about anything other than sex with me .”
