Dahvie Vanity (Jesus David Torres) has had her fair share of the problems that come with being famous. While he’s been called out for his odd sense of style and make-up, he’s been accused of being a pedophile and is considered a pedophile in several neighborhoods. While he boasts of a huge fan base, a good number of people have expressed that his songs are shitty. This Jesus tried to ward off his misfortunes with songs like Crucified by Your Lies. Learn more about him, shall we?
Who is Dahvie Vanity?
Dahvie Vanity is an American singer born on September 5, 1984, in North Carolina. He is a member and singer of the American band Blood on the Dance Floor. Dahvie comes from a poor family and grew up in a residential trailer. There is little information about Vanity’s family, but her parents are known to have mixed opinions about her musical endeavors.
He has a half-sister who he shares a close bond with. Since childhood, Vanity loved music and dreamed of growing it in the entertainment industry. In 2007 he formed a music group consisting of himself and his friends – Christopher Mongillo and Rebecca Fugate. He named it Love the Fashion but later changed it to Blood on the Dance Floor. After working hard to create an album, they managed to produce Let’s Start a Riot.
Unfortunately, it got little to no promotion and failed to impress the masses. They went back and recorded their next album titled It’s Hard to Be a Diamond in a Diamond World. After some time, Christopher and Rebecca leftthe group because they could not participate in organized tours in Orlando. After that, others joined and left Vanity’s band, including Garret Ecstasy (McLaughlin), Jayy Von Monroe, and Matty M. By 2009, only Dahvie Vanity and Jayy Von Monroe remained. They have produced many hit albums, Epic is one of them. They also toured America after the album reached number five on the Billboard chart.
Blood on the Dance Floor worked with different artists to unleash the All the Rage!! album in June 2011. This album became a hit too. In 2012 they released Evolution which is their most successful album to date. In 2016, he announced on his retired Facebook page, Dahvie Vanity, that his new stage name would be Dahvie Insanity, as he wasn’t who he was when he started his career.
What did he do to become famous?
In other words, he did not give up! Dahvie’s fame came with the release of her album Evolution in 2012. This was after some previously released albums failed. His determination was remarkable. Along with pursuing her passion for music, Vanity approached her work meticulously. Despite the rumors about him, he remained strong and relentless. Unlike some artists who have been criticized, Dahvie Vanity has dismissed all charges against him and continued his singing career.
There have been sexual accusations of Dahvie several women, mostly minors, being assaulted and these accusations date back to 2007. In fact, according to some sources, he was arrested in 2009 for sexual assault and there is even an article detailing the claims of all the women he allegedly assaulted.
Dahvie Vanity denied everything. Yes, there are always two sides to a story and, we know that some people (haters) like to make claims just to bring down celebrities. But in Dahvie’s case, these people didn’t hate him. In reality, they were his fans and his friends. Some were even his employees. Were they all paid to make false claims against him? Hard to say.
True or not, these claims don’t sound good to the pop singer, and a particular problem is hard to pin down for most people. What we do know is that Vanity is maintaining her composure through it all. He did not become depressed or take drugs to relieve the pain that accompanies such claims. He’s a strong guy, and as they say, “rumors make you or hurt you”. Vanity has chosen to make itself known by current rumors. We still see him uploading videos and songs to YouTube, his career is far from over.
