Sonic Team developed a Single-player online video game, Sonic Frontiers. Sega published Sonic Frontiers, a 2022 platform game. Sonic Frontiers is a single-player online game developed by Sega's original Sonic Team, headed by the producer Takashi Iizuka. Titans and Sage, an artificial girl created by Doctor Eggman, caution Sonic to leave the Starfall Islands. Frontiers integrate platforming, and traditional Sonic elements, including rings and grind rails in the first open-world series, where the player solves the puzzles to collect items and fights robot enemies.

Sonic Frontiers Behind The Voice Actors
Roger Craig Smith is the English dub voice of Sonic the Hedgehog in Sonic Frontiers, and Junichi Kanemaru is the Japanese voice. Roger Craig Smith and Sega confirmed that he would return as the Sonic The Hedgehog Voice Actor on May 26, 2021. Smith had been the voice actor of Sonic the Hedgehog from the games Sonic Free riders and Sonic the colors. Out of Sonic the Hedgehog, Smith has also voiced in several recognizable video games, including Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, Apex Legends, Resident Evil 6, and Resident Evil: Revelations.

Although she's not new to the particular character, she was the long-time voice actor for Tails in Sonic the Hedgehog games. She is the only voice actor from the video games to star in Sonic the Hedgehog Movie.
