Salim Mehajer’s wife Aysha uses Instagram to spruik healthy eating program

EVER since an AVO was lodged against her husband, controversial former councillor Salim Mehajer, Aysha Learmonth has retreated from the public eye.

She left the marital home in Lidcombe, wasn’t seen for months and reportedly moved interstate.

In contrast to her husband (who repeatedly posted photos and captions proclaiming his love for his wife, such as the Facebook post below), Ms Learmonth was largely absent from social media. She also quietly ditched the Mehajer surname and reverted back to her maiden name, less than a year after their wedding.

But over the past two weeks, Ms Learmonth has returned to Instagram. In her latest post she seems to be spruiking a company that delivers ready-made “superfood infused” meals to her 34,000 plus followers.

Whether this collaboration is the “something exciting” that she promised two days ago is unclear.

Ms Learmonth returned to the social media site two weeks ago after months of no activity.

Her first post was a glamorous selfie with the caption “live it, love it, learn it”.

Yesterday it was reported that Ms Learmonth was expected to have the AVO against her husband withdrawn.

The lawyer for Mr Mehajer told Downing Centre Local Court that the AVO taken out by police on behalf of Ms Learmonth may be withdrawn and the parties were in discussions.

“It is likely to be resolved without any further evidence,” lawyer Matt Ward said.

He asked for the case to be adjourned to Wollongong Local Court next month where a second AVO against Mr Mehajer, taken out by police on behalf of Learmonth’s brother Ben Miller will be mentioned.

Deputy chief magistrate Christopher O’Brien adjourned the case to September 8 at Wollongong when both AVO applications will be dealt with together.
