Roman Reigns became Leati Joseph Anoa’i on 25. May 1985 in Pensacola, Fla. He is half Samoan and half Italian and his father Sika Anoa and older brother Mathew Anoa were professional wrestlers.
Domeniques attended Pensacola Catholic High School, and then Escambia High School. After graduating, he enrolled at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) to study management. While there, he also played football for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets varsity team.
Dominions took a keen interest in football from an early age and even considered it professionally. After playing the sport through high school and college, he was eager to continue playing it and was signed by the Minnesota Vikings in 2007. He spent a few months there before joining the Jacksonville Jaguars.
In 2008 the Edmonton Eskimos signed Canada and he played with them for a full season.
