BIOGRAPHY
Roland Møller had a difficult childhood and was quickly confronted with the criminal world. Multiplying his crimes, he was finally sentenced to spend four and a half years in prison following several attacks. Passionate about music, he wrote rap texts upon his release (among others for the rapper Jokeren) and enrolled at Den Rytmiske Højskole. At the same time, he took theater classes and went to castings.
Roland Møller finds his first role in the R prison film by Tobias Lindholm and Michael Noer , played by the future Euron Greyjoy of Game of Thrones Pilou Asbæk . He portrays a particularly violent and sadistic inmate. Building on this performance, he continued with other films linked to the criminal theme: Hijacking , Northwest and A Second Chance (with another GOT star: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau ).
In 2015, Roland Møller played the main character Sergeant Carl Rasmussen in The Forgotten , a historical drama by Martin Zandvliet . He continues with the fantasy adventure film The Shamer, where he is the assistant to the Master of Arms. His notoriety growing internationally, he was chosen to take part in several American films where, with his menacing face, he often played the antagonist.
We see him in Atomic Blonde , The Passenger and Papillon (by Michael Noer), remake of the cult prison film with Steve McQueen , where he rapes Charlie Hunnam . He also stars in the blockbuster Skyscraper . He plays the main villain opposing super-star Dwayne Johnson . Then, we see him as a taciturn ex-prisoner going on a crusade against gangsters to protect Lola Le Lann in Bluebird .
In 2022, Roland Møller once again slips into the skin of a chilling villain in Medieval , a medieval Netflix film with Ben Foster .
