Karrueche Tran was born in America to a Vietnamese mother and Jamaican father. One of his long-running controversies is the internet’s refusal to accept his black heritage. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Karrueche’s training began at Fairfax High School before moving to Birmingham High School due to his family’s move to the San Fernando Valley. For college, Karrueche attended Pierce College, a community college in the San Fernando Valley and graduated with a degree in graphic design in 2008.
As a young woman, Karrueche always had an interest in fashion, so when she graduated from college, she got a job with Nordstrom and started a career as a personal shopper that lasted from 2009 to 2012.
