Media influencer Mo Abudu has opened up about the reasons behind the end of her marriage with her ex-husband, Tokunbo Abudu.
In a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, she shared that despite the separation, she maintains a friendly relationship with her ex-husband.
She emphasized that she sees no need to demonize her ex-partner and acknowledged that while some relationships end acrimoniously, theirs didn’t take that route.
“Simply because you decide to part ways with your ex doesn’t mean they are a bad person. Tokunbo Abudu, I will say it over and over again, is a good father. He remains a good friend of mine.”
“That’s the most important aspect of our relationship, and we have two children together. My kids love their father and me, they don’t have to choose sides.”
“When my son graduated, both of us were there. When Temidayo got married, we planned it together, and we were both there. I’m not denying that some relationships can end bitterly.”
“But ours didn’t. There was no bitterness in our relationship. It didn’t work out, and that’s it. We are good friends.”
Mo Abudu’s comments may lead to questions about why she decided to end her marriage. She went on to elaborate, explaining that there are complexities in a relationship beyond just being friends.
“It didn’t work because there are other factors that contribute to a relationship beyond just being friends. There were many other elements in the mix at that time.”
