In 1983, she played more substantial characters in The Rousters and the soap opera Paper Dolls.

Gaining notoriety, Mimi was asked to act in the cinema, as evidenced by her performances in Gung Ho, Sake in the Engine by Ron Howard , The Street by Jerry Schatzberg and Hunted by Ridley Scott . In the latter, the actress plays a witness to the murder of one of her friends murdered by a gangster. The police officer played by Tom Berenger is responsible for protecting her.

From 2014 to 2021, Mimi Rogers found one of her best-known roles in the detective series Harry Bosch , that of Honey “Money” Chandler, a civil rights lawyer alongside well-known faces from the small screen like Titus Welliver , Jamie Hector and Lance Reddick . Linked to Scientology from a young age through her father, Mimi married Jim Rogers, an advisor to the controversial American Church, in 1976. The couple divorced in 1980. Seven years later, she married a certain Tom Cruise , whom she converted to Scientology. The couple separated in 1990. In March 2003, she married Chris Ciaffa, with whom she had two children.
