Melissa Theuriau was born in the very small commune of Echiorolles in France on July 18, 1978. She has never divulged information about her family, brothers and sisters – if she has any, nor about her formative years and her very old educational experiences.
However, she was admitted into the prestigious Institut Universitaire de Technologie (IUT) – a technical university located in Pierre-Mendes, Grenoble in France, where she obtained her first degree in information communication. She then continued her studies at the Institute of Communication and Media (ICM) in Echeriolles, France, where she obtained a master’s degree in audiovisual journalism.
Having now been formally educated in journalism, she sought to immediately put into practice everything she had learned. Melissa Theuriau began her career as a journalist in 2002 as a reporter for Match Television in her home country of France.
In 2003, Melissa joined La Chaine Info (LCI), which was the first entirely French news channel and worked as a presenter, presenter and journalist. On March 29, 2008, after dating a young man called Jamel Debbouze for a while, they announced that they were now engaged. Jamel is a Franco-Moroccan screenwriter, television producer and director, as well as an actor; although he is better known as a comedian.

The couple had their first child, a boy, in December 2008; they called him Leon. Their second child, a daughter, Lila Fatimat, was born in 2011. She was named Fatimat after Jamel’s mother.
