BIOGRAPHY
Italian film and television actress Matilde Gioli graduated in philosophy from the University of Milan and later worked as an event hostess and synchronized swimming instructor. With no prior acting experience, she auditioned for and won the role of Serena Ossola in Paolo Virzì’s Human Capital (2013), and for her performance she won the Guglielmo Biraghi Award at the 69th Silver Ribbon Awards. Since then she continued acting in several films such as 2night (2016), A House, the Family and a Miracle (2017) and 4 Halves (2022). She also made appearances in several television series before landing the leading role of Giulia Giordano in Doc – Nelle tue mani (2020-2022), an Italian medical drama television series inspired by Dr. Pierdante Piccioni, former head of the emergencies of Lodi and Codogno, who forgot the previous 12 years of his life after a car accident.
