Upon arriving in Nashville in September 2001, he soon landed a publishing and recording deal. But just as his debut album was about to make waves, Luke’s sister Kelly died unexpectedly at the age of 39 of unknown causes. In November 2014, a third tragedy struck when his brother-in-law Ben Chesire (Kelly’s husband) passed away suddenly, leaving their three children (Kris, Jordan and Til) orphaned. Bryan and his wife stepped in to raise their teenage nephew, Til.
