BIOGRAPHY
Daughter of actress Cécile Magnet , Louise Chevillotte naturally turns to comedy. It was after seeing the German actor Lars Eidinger perform Hamlet on stage in 2009 that she decided to get started and followed theatrical training at the Compagnie Falaises et Plateaux until 2013. She then entered the Conservatoire national supérieur d drama from 2014 to 2017.
It was during her last year that she was spotted by Philippe Garrel and landed her first role in the cinema in L’Amant d’un jour , selected for the Directors’ Fortnight. Nominated for the 2018 Revelations of the Academy of Cinema Arts and Techniques, the actress plays the companion of a man much older than her, played by Eric Caravaca . She reunited with the filmmaker in 2020 for The Salt of Tears .
In the meantime, she plays the leading female role in the singular Synonyms , Golden Bear at the 2019 Berlin Festival, which follows in the footsteps of an Israeli who has recently arrived in Paris. At the same time, she regularly shines on stage, notably under the direction of Christian Schiaretti. After supporting roles in two flagship films of 2021 ( Benedetta and L’Événement ), she is a student with whom the hero of The World After Us becomes infatuated , a young, precarious writer who leads a lifestyle beyond his means.
In 2023, Louise Chevillotte tries her hand at stripping in the striptease club À mon Seul Desire , where she falls under the spell of Zita Hanrot .
