Lily Sastry isn’t a name that would ring bells for many because she’s not exactly a celebrity. Instead, she is the daughter of the very famous English actor and comedian Rowan Atkinson, better known as Mr. Bean. For the past few years, Lily has found herself drawn to the media after her relationship with her father, which many say has been rusty for some time.
Along with being popular as the actor’s daughter and iconic comedian, Lily is also an actress and dancer.

It was in 1995 that Lily Sastry was born as the second child to Rowan Sebastian Atkinson and his wife, Sunetra Sastry. She was raised with her brother Benjamin Atkinson who was born in 1993. Shortly after Lily and her brother were born, their mother quit her job to devote all her time to raising her children.
Although nothing was planned for her as a child, it is known that she was educated at a private all-girls school in London. Moreover, she has been taking acting and singing lessons since the age of five.
In 2017, at the age of 22, Lily followed in her father’s footsteps in physical performance. However, instead of acting, she is now a burlesque dancer. Additionally, she performs her own original songs, which she has been doing since 2017.
Also in 2017, Lily Sastry performed at Pheasantry and London’s West End. The 5-star shows were sold out, and towards the end of the year she staged another in London at the St. James Theatre.

Lily was raised in a rather small family with her brother Benjamin. Her grandfather, Eric Atkinson, was a World War II veteran and also a farmer, while her grandmother was Ella May Bainbridge.
As already noted, the father of Lily Sastry isactress and comedian, her mother is a makeup artist, Sunetra Sastry. The couple met in the late 1980s when Sunetra worked at the BBC as a make-up artist. The two married in February 1990. Two children, born in 1993 and 1995, were a couple together until 2014, 24 years after they got married before going their separate ways. The marriage officially ended in 2015 following a divorce.
Shortly after the split in 2014, it became public knowledge that Atkinson was dating much younger actress Louise Ford. Before Atkinson and Ford were cast together on Neighborhood Conditions in 2013, the actress was in a relationship with English comedian James Acaster.
Shortly after, it was announced that Lilypere and his new wife were expecting their first child together. Shortly after the news broke, Lily dropped her father’s name and chose her mother’s maiden name. In December 2017, Mr. Bean’s third child and Lily Sastry’s half-brother were born.
Regarding Lily’s name change, however, are those who suggest it may be because she is also a performer like her father but wants to become famous on her own and not on his father’s popularity. But then many link it to the fallout between his parents.
Relationship with his father
After the union between her parents ended, there was a rumor through social media that the relationship between Sastry and her father had deteriorated and the two were no longer seeing each other. It was then that it was claimed that she even dropped her father’s name.
However, in late 2018, Lily Sastry and her father were seen together as she accompanied him to celebrate his film premiere. Johnny English Strikes Again; the two were spotted at a party in Mayfield.
