Frank Williams III, comedian King Shuler was born in Sumter, South Carolina. Shuler, known as the kid who told jokes, thought he was destined to be an artist from a young age.

Shuler grew up in a conventional two-parent home in the Southern Bible Belt, where his parents instilled in him and his two brothers religion, hard work and education. His love is a comedy, but he took a strange path to get there. Shuler earned a bachelor’s degree in media arts from the University of South Carolina, where he also joined The Mighty Illustrious Zeta Zeta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated.

Shuler King- Professional career

His comics career began as a freshman in college when he first performed at the NCO Club on a military base, and the rest is history. He earned a degree in mortuary science from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in 2013.

Shuler works as a funeral director and licensed embalmer in Georgia and South Carolina at his family’s funeral home when he is not on tour performing at comedy clubs and special events across the country. Shuler may be the only comedian/funeral director on the comedy tour as he fights to keep his family’s company and tradition alive. He has opened for some of the best-known and brightest comedians and comedians in the industry.

He attributes his success to his parents’ rigorous but loving upbringing, his difficult childhood, and the current state of the country. “Comedy isn’t about being happy all the time,” he says. People’s pain is part of both comedy and tragedy. When 20,000 people in a stadium laugh at a joke, it is because they have all gone through the same experience,” he says. Shuler is one of the most energetic up-and-comers in the industry.

He credits his unwavering trust in God as the calming influence in his life that keeps him through the ups and downs of the industry. His hilarious social media flicks have quickly become fan favorites, and video of him criticizing Donald Trump went viral and was even featured on a British TV show. Shuler has a bright future ahead of him.
