Kell Brook is a professional boxer who is considered one of the top active welterweights in 2017. Since starting his career in 2004, Brook has lost just two fights in his first forty, winning 12 by decision and 26 by KO. He fought at middleweight, welterweight and light middleweight although it was in welterweight that he came to make a name for himself.

Although it is as Kell Brook that the boxer is mostly known, he was born Ezekiel Brook in Sheffield, Yorkshire on May 3, 1986. The boy who would grow up to be The Special One in the boxing world was raised by his mother and stepfather, Terry Thompson. Although his biological father is known to be Jamaican, Brook has never met him and there appears to be no effort on either side to contact the other.
When he was growing up as a child, he was introduced to boxing by his stepfather, Terry Thompson. At the time, he was only 9 years old, and by the age of 12 he had already started boxing as an amateur. He then put on a good show of himself, recording as many as 31 wins in 36 fights and winning two Amateur Boxing Association of England titles as well as a 4 Nations Cup gold medal.
He started his professional career in 2004 and has since become one of the best in the sport.
Brook has been the victim of knife attacks twice in the past. The first time was in 2007 when he was attacked in Sheffield while the second time was in Tenerife when he was on vacation with his wife.

Since his professional boxing debut in 2004, Kell Brook has come a very long way with many accomplishments and records to his name. Looking at his BoxRec, the Sheffield-born boxer won his first fight against Peter Buckley on points, then the next three by knockout. After winning his first 36 fights, Brook lost No. 37 and 38 to Gennady Golovkin and Errol Spence Jr. respectively. His next fights were against Sergey Rabchenko and Michael Zerafa which he both won.
The special won the vacant British welterweight title in 2008 and defended it until September 18, 2010. In 2010 he won the WBO Inter-Continental welterweight title followed by the WBA Inter-Continental welterweight title in 2011 the welterweight title International IBF in 2012 and the IBF welterweight title in 2014 before losing the title in 2017. In March 2018, he won the vacant WBC Silver super-welterweight title.
The Ring magazine ranked him the world’s best active welterweight in 2017. In 2016, he was ranked the world’s top welterweight boxer by The Ring magazine and the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board. More so, BoxRec named him the second best welterweight boxer and then the seventh best boxer, pound for pound.

For a boxer considered to be among the best in his division and with many titles under his belt, it’s only natural that one would expect the chance to demonstrate that. That said, he has an estimated net worth of over $10 million. Although he made much of his wealth from his boxing career, he also made a lot of endorsement deals, sponsorship and commercials.
Kell Brook also has a number of investments and he has his own company, Kell Brook Sports Ltd, which was incorporated in 2010. The boxer was listed as a director of the company.
Kell Brook’s Wife
Kell Brook has had a fairly long relationship with Lindsey Myers. Although she was referred to as his girlfriend on many online platforms, there are also other platforms including The Sun who called him his wife. Yet, there is no record of whether the two were actually married.
Since not much is known about Lindsey, it is known that she is the same age as her husband, only a few weeks younger than him.
The boxer and Lindsey share two children together and it has been reported that they are expecting yet another child. Their first child is Nevaeh while the second is Estelle.
