BIOGRAPHY
In her youth, Juanita Arias moved to the United States where she studied at Lee Strasberg’s prestigious acting academy. In 2012 she had the opportunity to work as an extra in the American film Men in Black 3 . When she returned to Colombia, she joined the cast of the telenovela 5 widows loose (2013). In 2013, she starred in her first film production: Amores dangerousos by Antonio Dorado, where she shared a cast with Marlon Moreno and Kathy Sáenz. Since 2014 she began to alternate her participation in Mexican and Colombian productions, being part of the cast of series such as En Otro Piel (2014), Sincronía (2017), Las Malcriadas (2017) and El Señor de los Cielos (2018). She recently worked under the direction of Michel Franco in the controversial film New Order (2020). We will see her co-starring in La Revenge of the Juanas (2021), the new Netflix series adaptation of the Colombian telenovela written by Bernardo Romero Pereiro titled Las Juanas (1997).
