Keira Knightley is an English actress who rose to worldwide fame in the 2003 American fantasy film Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. Keira Christina Knightley was born on March 26, 1985, in a suburb of South West London. She was originally named ‘Kiera’ but her mother misspelled it as ‘Keira’ on the birth certificate and they decided to drop the error.
