Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) Parents, Ethnicity and Background
The Rock was born Dwayne Douglas Johnson on May 2, 1972. He is the son of professional wrestlers, Rocky Johnson and Ata Maivia Johnson, who gave birth to their son in Hayward, California.
Considering that his father and mother’s grandfather were wrestlers, some would say that wrestling came down on Dwayne Johnson through his blood. Before turning full-time to professional wrestling, he played college football at the University of Miami and only followed in his wrestling family’s footsteps in 1995 when he was expelled from the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League.
His ethnicity is rich with his mother being of a Samoan family and his father being a black Canadian with some Irish ancestry. When he was younger, Dwayne Johnson briefly stayed with his mother’s family in Gray Lynn, New Zealand. He later returned to the United States with his parents, and his father’s job took him to various states including Connecticut, Hawaii and Pennsylvania.The Rock became enthusiastic about sports school days in his high with soccer, track and field and wrestling. Rock’s wife and daughter
Dwayne Johnson actually met the woman who was going to become his wife at Maimi University. Her name is Danny Garcia and the two were married on May 3, 1997. Danny Garcia became a member of the board of trustees of the University of Maimi and also founded a wealth management firm based in Miami. The two have a daughter whom they named Simone. She was born on August 14, 2001. In June 2007, the couple announced that they were separating.
After the divorce, Dwayne Johnson started dating Lauren Hashian. The two met while The Rock was filming The Game Plan. Lauren Hashian is the daughter of Sib Hashian, the late Boston drummer. On December 16, 2015, they had a daughter, Jasmine, and on April 17, 2018, another daughter, Tiana Gia Johnson.
Is he dead?
The Rock is definitely not dead, although given the bouts of survival he participated in during WWE, some would argue he came pretty close.
