He was born in Terrell, Texas, United States of America on December 13, 1967. His father, Darrell Bishop, worked as a stockbroker and his mother was Louise Annette Tally Dixon. Jamie didn’t have a wonderful childhood experience after his parent divorced soon after he was born. He was raised by Esther Marie and Mark Talley, his mother’s adoptive parents. At age five, Jamie began playing the piano and eventually served as a part-time pianist and choirmaster at Terrell’s Baptist Church.
