Bayley is the given name of American-born professional wrestler Pamela Rose Martinez. After signing a developmental contract with WWE in December 2012, she performed in the company’s developmental division, WWE NXT, from 2013 to 2015.
Bayley was eventually called up to WWE’s main roster in 2016, where she performs under the WWE Raw brand. During her blossoming career as a professional wrestler, Bayley won the NXT Women’s Championship as well as the WWE Raw Women’s Championship.

The WWE star was born as Pamela Rose Martinez on June 15, 1989 in Newark, California, United States. As a teenager, Martinez was active in several sports and became captain of her high school basketball team. However, she took a keen interest in wrestling from an early age and at the age of 11 she began attending the shows of California-based wrestling promotion Big Time Wrestling.
In April 2008, the then 18-year-old Martinez delved into professional wrestling despite having signed up for wrestling training classes. In September 2008, she had her first match with Big Time Wrestling under the alias “Davina Rose”. She remained with Big Time Wrestling until 2010 when she branched out into other wrestling promotions on the independent circuit. In December 2012, Martinez signed a developmental contract with WWE.
His career in WWE
In January 2013, Martinez made his debut at WWE NXT’s live event, a Florida-based developmental territory. For his debut, Martinez wore a mask in the ring and also adopted the ring name “Bayley.” She made several unsuccessful attempts to win the WWE NXT Women’s Championship in her freshman year.
On August 22, 2014, Bayley defeated Sasha Banks at the NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn event to win her first-ever NXT Women’s Championship title. She also successfully defended her title against Banks at the NXT TakeOver: Respect event on October 7, 2014. During her 223-day reign as NXT Champion, Bayley defeated contenders such as Alexa Bliss,Eva Marie, Nia Jaxand Carmenla. Her reign ended on April 1, 2015, when she was defeated byAsuka at the NXT TakeOver: Dallas event. She unsuccessfully attempted to reclaim the title in her final WWE NXT match on August 20, 2015.
Bayley made her WWE debut on July 24, 2016 at the Battleground event as a big tag team partner to longtime rival Sasha Banks. She made her official debut for the WWE Raw brand on August 22, 2016, where she set up a challenge for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship. After several failed attempts, Bayley finally won the WWE Raw Women’s Championship for the first time on February 13, 2017, after defeating Charlotte Flair. She successfully defended her title at Fastlane (2017) and also at WrestleMania 33.
At the Payback (2017) event on April 30, Bayley’s Alexa Bliss lost the WWE Raw Women’s Championship title, ending her 76-day reign. The WWE star also competed in the first WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal match which took place at the WrestleMania 34 pre-show on April 8, 2018; she was the last contestant to be eliminated by eventual champion Naomi.

The handsome WWE star is not officially hitched at the moment, however, her life as a single woman may soon be coming to an end. In November 2016, Bayley got engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Aaron Solow. Also a professional wrestler, Aaron Solow plays in the independent wrestling circuit and the pair met in 2010 while attending wrestling lessons in California.
