Andrés Soler was a Mexican actor, a member of the Soler dynasty, a family of Mexican actors composed of Julián, Domingo, Andrés and Fernando Soler. He is considered one of the best film actors in Mexico, he had a vast presence in cinema with 192 films and worked with many important actors such as Jorge Negrete, Mario Moreno “Cantinflas”, Pedro Infante and Germán Valdés “Tin-Tan” . He made his film debut with the dramatic film Suprema ley (1937) and appeared in films such as Let’s fly young! (1947), Sinner (1947), Orange Blossoms for Your Wedding (1950), A Corner Near Heaven (1952), among many others. Andrés Soler obtained four Ariel nominations: for his performance as Gustavo in La hija del penal (1949), as Uncle Laureano in You will not desire your son’s wife (1950), as Andrés Cabrera in El gross (1953) and finally for his role as Don Pancho in Los Fernández de Peralvillo (1954). He died in 1969 in Mexico City.
