Alexis Knief and Timothy Olyphant first met at the University of Southern California, the two became friends and then began to nobility in July 1991 in a private ceremony held in their hometown .
The couple have been together for 26 years now despite divorce rumours. Rumors of their split started when Olyphant was seen wearing his wedding ring on his right hand, while everyone else was wearing theirs on their left.
But the truth was, he liked to wear the wedding band on his right hand rather than his left like most brides do.
In 2011, Timothy joked that he would have left her if he had won an Emmy. He was nominated for an Emmy Award for his role as Raylan Givens in Justified but he lost the awards.
During an interview with Conan O’Brien, he joked that: Kyle Chandler won the Emmy, it was lovely, I was very happy for him. My opening line – it was my wife’s idea – I was going to look at [the trophy] and then look at my twenty-year-old wife and say, “Well, honey, that’s it. I’m finally leaving you. “
Luckily, that wasn’t the case, as the couple are still very much together and obviously still very much in love.
Speaking about the secret behind their successful marriage in an interview, Tim said, “You have to be with the right person and you have to be willing to put in the work, day in and day out, to make it happen.”
They have three children together. Their first child, Grace Katherine, was born in 1999. The second, Henry, arrived in 2001 and their last child (second daughter), Vivian, was born two years later (2003).
Alexis currently lives with her husband and children in Westwood, Los Angeles.
